When it comes to the benefits of joining the Boy Scouts, the unique blend of camaraderie, adventure, and personal growth all live in Troop 28 Croton. As young individuals go through the many ranks and merit badges that the BSA offer, they embark on a journey filled with many opportunities for learning lifelong skills, curiosity and friendship.
Troop 28 Croton believes in the transformative power of Scouting to shape young minds and mold our future leaders. Through our diverse array of our activities, Scouts of all backgrounds are encouraged to discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and unlock their full potential. Whether it's backpacking through the wilderness or lending a helping hand through community service projects, every activity is an opportunity for growth and self-discovery.
One of the greatest strengths of Troop 28 is its dedicated adult and teenage leaders who serve as mentors and role models to the Scouts. With their guidance, Scouts learn not only practical skills like knot-tying and first aid but also invaluable adult life skills such as budgeting, cooking and public speaking, creating a nurturing environment where Scouts can thrive as they grow into adults.
Troop 28 Croton offers a wealth of opportunities for Scouts to forge lasting friendships and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it's bonding over a shared love of the outdoors during a weekend camping trip or celebrating the achievements of their fellow Scouts at a Court of Honor awards ceremony, the bonds formed within Troop 28 Croton are concrete. As Scouts progress through the ranks and take on leadership roles within the troop, they become part of a rich tradition of excellence and service that defines the legacy of Troop 28 Croton.
